Miami Dade College Foundation Every student at Miami Dade College deserves an education that matches their ambition.

Chartered in 1965 by the state of Florida as a non-profit, direct support 501(c)3 organization, the MDC Foundation is governed by an independent board of more than two dozen community leaders and philanthropists, as well as the College President, and members of the District Board of Trustees.

The impact of a gift extends far beyond one student. It creates opportunity, strengthens families, and can change the trajectory of generations to come.

We’re grateful to Dominos for Education for its $40,000 contribution to support Rising Scholars through the Liberty City Scholarship Fund.

Since its inception, the Fund has invested nearly half a million dollars in MDC students, demonstrating the power of collective impact. When donors come together around a shared commitment to education, the result is more than financial support for one student. It’s an opportunity for entire families to build brighter futures and for that impact to ripple throughout our community.

Thank you to Dominos for Education and all the donors who continue to invest in our students and their futures.

This September, we saw the strength of the Miami Dade College community in action. Across our campuses and throughout Miami, alumni, staff, students, partners and friends of the College came together around something we all share: a belief in what our students can achieve when opportunity is within reach.

Together, that generosity resulted in more than $1 million in support through about 2,000 gifts. But what matters most is what those numbers make possible: scholarships that ease financial barriers, programs that strengthen the student experience, and resources that give students more room to focus on their education and what comes next.

That is the power of the MDC community. When we invest in our students, that support reaches beyond a single moment. It moves with them into classrooms, careers, families and communities across Miami.

To everyone who showed up, gave and believed in our students, thank you. This is what it means to be MDC. 💙

Terrill’s story shows what can happen when students are given the confidence and support to keep moving forward. After his time at MDC, he transferred to Florida A&M University and later earned an internship with Good Morning America , continuing to build on the opportunities that helped shape his path.

As we wrap up this year’s I AM MDC campaign, we’re celebrating the stories and possibilities that reflect what MDC is all about. Terrill’s path is one example of how the right opportunity can help students keep moving forward and open doors well beyond the classroom.

There’s still time to be part of that impact. Make a gift today to support the next generation of MDC students through the link in our bio.

U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Panama and MDC Alumni Hall of Famer Kevin M. Cabrera returned to South Miami Senior High to celebrate the inauguration of the Kevin M. Cabrera South Miami Senior High Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund at Miami Dade College.

The fund creates a lasting legacy of opportunity, supporting South Miami Senior High graduates as they continue their education at MDC and helping future generations of students pursue what’s possible.

For Kevin, the impact is clear: support like this can turn into real opportunities for students and help open doors for what comes next.

Thank you SMSH Alumni Association and everyone who helped make this possible.

Every student has their own reason for saying I AM MDC.

For some students, MDC is where they found their people. For others, it’s where a dream became a plan, and a plan became a future.

It’s the encouragement to keep going. The opportunity to say yes. The support that makes what once felt out of reach possible.

Because when students have the opportunity and support to move forward, there’s no limit to what comes next.

That’s the power of I AM MDC.

And the impact doesn’t stop here. Throughout September, help us create more opportunities, open more doors and change more lives for MDC students.
