Announcing the 2026 Paz Prize for Poetry Winner 🏆

We are delighted to announce Karen Elizabeth Bishop as the 2026 winner of the Paz Prize for Poetry for her manuscript Si|If, written in Spanish and presented with her own English translation.

A poet, translator, essayist, and scholar, Bishop’s collection was selected by acclaimed poet and scholar Miguel Ángel Zapata and will be published by Alliteration Publishing in 2027.

The Paz Prize for Poetry is presented by The National Poetry Series in collaboration with Miami Dade College’s Miami Book Fair, celebrating outstanding poetry written in Spanish.
