ATTENTION EVERYONE
IKYKIK - that youāre sick of seeing my posts!
I want to start by saying that this rescue is the one thing in this world that makes me feel life is worthwhile and it is a way to make a difference in this cruel world! WE DO MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE!!! All of us together!!!
August has been very hard for Misfit Mutts - we typically use funds from transport and donations as well as any money that Iāve earned working for our expenses at the shelter.
Our expense are pretty typical - rent, utilities, dog food, puppy food, yard work, storage shed costs and payroll costs.
We also have other expenses that are more emergency type things and this month they hit us hard, air conditioning broken, electrical breakdown in our power box, washing machine breakdown (who knew it costs $100 a day to go to a laundromat). In addition electrical issues increase your electric use costs. So our typical monthly expenses have now increased by more than 50%.
It is incredible that at the same time the number of pets that we are transporting or that are being adopted, has also decreased by greater than 50%. This weekend we drove with seven animals all the way to West greenwich, Rhode Island surrounding areas that we drop off in the northeast and back employee pay. Diesel cost food cost and other expenses for this trip set at about $4000 each week. Our total billed out for Transport this week was just under $1300 leaving us at a deficit of $2700.
This month we can not cover the costs. - To make it simple we are in dire need of a minimum of $10.000
