We are so grateful for Joanna Lipman, who has lead Girls on the Run Memphis as Executive Director since 2018. Through her leadership, GOTR Memphis has served 2,700 girls, trained more than 600 coaches, completed 18 seasons, worked across 30 different sites, provided more than $200,000 in financial assistance, hosted 14 5K celebrations and launched Camp GOTR. From day one, she has been passionate about our mission and remained steadfast in the belief that this is more than an after-school program, it has the power to changes lives and change our city for the better.
Joanna has made the difficult decision to step down as Executive Director in January 2027 and pass the baton to a new fearless leader. The GOTR Memphis board of directors will begin conducting a search for candidates and the job description will be available soon.
