Another sneak peek into CITI Camp and these "dog days" of summer! Our very-best-good-boy, Fergus, clocks in every Friday, but CITI Camp is extra-fun for everyone! The campers even made sure Fergus got his own official camp name tag. Volunteers Juana and Kathy also led a special class called "Do Dogs Talk?" with Simon the therapy dog teaching us about dog safety! The summer is off to a great start at RITI!

🌟DID YOU KNOW?: RITI's support doesn't stop when guests move into housing.
Adrienne, our Housing Stabilization Coordinator, continues to follow up with guests for up to two years after they move into housing! She shares in the joys and challenges of their transition to a new home.
🏠Some guests move into housing with additional financial support from a number of programs. Adrienne recently met with a few former guests for a workshop on planning for ongoing stability and next steps after that extra support ends.
💪🏾With the right tools, resources, and a little planning, these former guests are building a strong foundation for their next chapter. We're excited to continue cheering them on!

🌟It's summer, and you know what that means?! CITI CAMP!
RITI's summer day camp kicked off last week with a focus on building the virtues of kindness and respect. One camper defined kindness as, "Picking people up every time they fall down." The Dixon's Art to Grow program, the Metal Museum, and the Shelby County School District helped make sure we had lots of learning and fun by providing volunteers, art lessons, and a field trip! The Child Advocacy Center and Empowered to Connect helped train our camp counselors before camp began. Thank you to our amazing camp counselors Azia, Anika, Catherine, Jabarey, Keonia, Renekia, and Quinton and all the volunteers who have been putting in lots of love and hard work! A favorite moment from camp so far has to be singing camp songs on the bus on the way to our field trip. We are so excited for the rest of the summer!
