Happy Autumn!

The holidays are a time for love, gratitude, generosity, and giving. This year, we are asking you to open your hearts and help us make Christmas a little brighter for the families we serve at Love Is A Verb Social Service Agency!

Our single mothers have shared their Christmas wish lists with us, telling us what they and their children would love to receive this holiday season. Every year, we make it our mission to ensure that every child—and every mother—receives a Christmas gift, regardless of their age. ❤️

For a single mother, providing Christmas gifts while carrying the financial responsibility of an entire household can be an overwhelming challenge.

I know this struggle firsthand because I have lived it myself. There were Christmases when I had to get creative and make coupons on the computer for my own children because I simply couldn't afford to buy them the gifts they wanted. That experience has never left my heart. I understand how much a mother wants to see her children's faces light up on Christmas morning, even when she has very little to give.

This is why we do what we do. We want every mother to feel supported and every child to feel loved, remembered, and valued. No child should feel forgotten at Christmas, and no mother should feel alone in trying to make the holidays special for her family.

There are giants in Brevard County and Sean Stein owner of her Mother's Touch Moving and Founder of Boxes of Love is definitely one of them! And while he may be tall it's his giant heart that truly makes him stand out!

Boxes of Love host a monthly lunch and where a local nonprofit is nominated and giving the opportunity to share their story, mission and the work they are doing in our community . We were incredibly honored to be this month's featured nonprofit!

A very special thank you to Melinda Ridenour Gerding for nominating love is a verb and to Sean and the entire Boxes of Love family for opening their hearts and giving us the opportunity to share our mission.

We are thrilled, honored and incredibly grateful for everyone who attended, listen to our story, encouraged us and made a donation to support the single mothers and children we serve.

Every year around this time, Elevation Church celebrates Love Week. What a perfect name, because that is exactly what they have poured into our community. In just one week, they have demonstrated the love of Christ by serving so many local nonprofits, including Love is a Verb.

We cannot thank them enough for the incredible support, kindness, and generosity they have shown us. We are truly grateful and sincerely appreciate each and every volunteer.

This past Saturday, an amazing team came out to help organize our storage units, which had become quite a mess! What seemed like an overwhelming task was completed far more quickly than I ever imagined. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, everything is now organized, accessible, and ready to better serve our single mothers and their children.

A very special thank you to Donna, Debbie, Sherry, AJ, and the entire volunteer team. Your willingness to serve has been an incredible blessing to our ministry. Thank you for loving our community through your actions. We are grateful for each of you!

Can you believe it? In just four more weeks, it will be back-to-school time!

While I'll certainly miss the lighter summer traffic, I know many of our single mothers are already preparing for the challenges that come with a new school year.

Since 2019, Love is a Verb has been blessed to serve single mothers and their children throughout the Space Coast. We are committed to helping these hardworking families by providing everyday essentials—and so much more—so they can focus on building a brighter future.

None of this would be possible without you. Our incredible volunteers and our generous community make it possible for us to continue meeting the growing needs of the families we serve.

We hope you all had a wonderful 250th birthday celebration to the greatest country on earth!

We are also reminded that school will start soon. More than ever, single-parent families in our community need our help. As school begins, expenses increases dramatically, placing additional strain on already tight household budgets. A small gift can make a huge impact. Our Mommy Project 2026 marks our 6th Annual Mother’s Day Celebration, where we have the opportunity to shower our single moms with love, encouragement, and blessings on such a special day. Seeing our community come together to uplift and support these amazing mothers is truly a blessing, and we are beyond grateful for every helping hand that made it possible.

This picture tells a story of resilience, commitment, generosity, and a deep love for Christ. What an incredible team this is! I am honored, humbled, and proud to have them by my side. Every time we put on an event, there are so many small details involved behind the scenes. It truly takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

They did such an amazing job with our Mommy Project, and I cannot thank this team enough for all they poured into making it a success. Their hearts to serve, their willingness to give, and their passion for helping others shine through in everything they do. I am beyond grateful for each and every one of them.

Our Mother’s Day Luncheon is quickly approaching, and we are currently seeking sponsors to help cover the cost of the meal and venue. We are also inviting individuals and businesses to donate gift cards for our beautiful single mothers.
