We are pleased to introduce Kelly Gonzales as our new Development Director at Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice. Kelly comes with extensive experience in development and marketing and has a heart for hospice.

She shares, “This work is so close to my heart for many reasons, one being when I was 26 years old and my mom was 56, I had the privilege of walking her home. I cannot imagine what those final weeks would have looked like without the hospice workers and volunteers who showed up for us with such grace and humanity. The impact in our lives was immeasurable. I have carried that gratitude with me for more than 30 years and now I get to pay it forward.”

Kelly brings to this role not only professional expertise in fundraising and communications, but a personal understanding of what it means to receive compassionate end-of-life care at the most vulnerable moment a family can face. She looks forward to bringing that same grace and humanity to every donor relationship and community partnership she builds on behalf of Celia’s House.

It is also Kelly’s birthday today! 🎉
