Hi friends and animal allies 😻

Funds are low and mounting expenses are getting scary, so we’re extending our paws for a little help 🐾

If anyone has a little extra they could share, to help us catch up and get a little breathing room, we’d be so grateful.

Hi friends and friends of the animals,

We’re reaching out with a little desperation, hoping to offset the costs of some recent and upcoming emergencies and life saving procedures.

A brief explanation of the general state of things is that we’re always kind of scraping by and piecing things together, so whenever we’re hit with emergencies it’s a bit of a scramble. When we’re hit with multiple in a short amount of time things get precarious. Which is how things are now.

If you have anything to spare we’d be grateful.

The individuals you’d be helping are:

Sara and Everett. They recently had multiple tooth extensions, necessitated by stomatitis, which could be deadly if untreated.

Henry: He also needs dental work and likely extractions.

Monkey: He has an appointment to be evaluated for weight loss, dehydration and diarrhea.

Patrick: We’re still paying back the loan we took out for his life saving amputation.

Donation info is in the Linktree link, or here:

Thank you for anything you can spare, and for sharing this, and for being caring and kind 💗🐾

Here’s a little check in on Patrick. It’s been so heartwarming to see how well he’s adapted. He really is one of the happiest and most playful cats I know. Thank you to everyone who contributed to his surgery, shared his story and sent us kind words and sentiments. It was a true community effort, and we’re forever grateful 😻

Dear friends and animal people,

We have a golden opportunity for some low cost dental work for a few cats who desperately need it. About 1/4 of what it normally costs. But recent emergencies have depleted our funds so once again here I am asking for help.

The sweeties in question are Midnight, Sarah and Everett. We’re hoping to raise $750-$1000, which should cover all three. Usually that’s barely enough for one cat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. These procedures will make a significant difference in their quality and length of life, so we really want to take advantage of this opportunity.

Donation info is in the Linktree links and also here:

Thank you so much for any help, for sharing this and especially for caring about these sweet and vulnerable creatures.

Welcome home Patrick!

Endless gratitude to all who contributed and shared our posts and expressed beautiful sentiments for this sweet guy. We raised a lot and borrowed some more and all the support was really heartwarming. He’s still recovering, stitches will be coming out on Monday, but he’s back home and doing great!

** Emergency fundraiser for life saving amputation - Apologies for the graphic pictures **

This is Patrick. He showed up recently, likely abandoned or dumped, and I’ve been working on drawing him in so that I could care for him and get him neutered. He recently was in a fight with another dumped feral cat (who I’m also trying to help) and today I got him into the vet for x-rays and assessment. His leg is broken and the vet recommended amputation. Right now they have him stabilized and on pain meds and antibiotics. I’m waiting to hear from them and will soon need to give them the go ahead to proceed.

The vet’s estimate is $1500. So far this morning we’ve raised about $250 of that. I think he’ll have a great live as a 3 legged cat and will be part of our family, but we weren’t prepared for this and so I’m asking for some emergency help.

If you’d prefer to send money directly to the vet, you can call Animal Hospital of Grants Pass at 541-476-8546. If you choose to donate this way, please just send us a note so we can thank you, keep track, and make sure you get a donation receipt if you’d like one. All donations are tax deductible.

Otherwise, donation info is in the Linktree links or at https://gentleheartanimaladvocacy.org/donate/

Thank you immensely. It’s hard to think about expenses when trying to save an animal’s life, but unfortunately the vets will always remind you and insist upon it. I’m really hoping that with your help we can make this transition go smoothly for Patrick help him have a great life and home with us.

Infinite gratitude, Chris and Patrick 😻😻

Hi friends and animal lovers. I’m reaching out in hopes of finding help for the cats in my care and for my work with community cats and community outreach. So I thought I should share a little bit about what I do and what’s needed to function.

I personally care for over 50 cats, all true rescues who would have died or suffered without intervention. Who are challenging to place and will live out their lives with me, as family. Food and essential supplies cost around $1000 per month. They of course need routine veterinary care, and occasional emergency care, which is increasing as my population ages.

I also do as much outreach as I can find time and resources for. This includes TNR work for community cats, as well as helping individuals navigate the vet system, covering the cost of their animals procedures and providing transportation. And really, always trying to help any animal in need that I encounter.

It’s always been my hope that this work could be funded by a lot of small donations from people who think this work is valuable. So I’m hoping some of you would like to contribute, ideally on a monthly basis. Although of course I’d be grateful for any one time donations as well.

Donation info can be found at the linktree above or at https://gentleheartanimaladvocacy.org/donate/. PayPal, Givebutter and most online banking portals offer a recurring donation option. Venmo doesn’t but is an option for one time donations. I’m always looking for other options so if you have a preferred method please let me know.

Thanks so much for reading this far. And for helping, or sharing, and most of all for caring. I truly believe these creatures deserve and need our help and this is really all about trying to meet this responsibility. Infinite gratitude, Chris.

Dear friends and animal allies,

The time has come for us to put our paws out and ask for a little help keeping everyone cozy and feeling good. Heating costs make the winter months especially challenging, in addition to unpleasantness of the cold itself, so if there’s anything you can spare we’d be so grateful.

PayPal, Venmo and other donation info is in the Linktree links, or can be found here:

Thank you for helping, or sharing, and especially for caring 😻
