Thank you Providence! The addition of an AED to our station is a vital step in serving and protecting the youth and families in our community. 71Five exists to create safe spaces, build trusting relationships, and share a message of hope with youth in at-risk communities. The building that will house this AED uniquely embodies our mission. Once a functioning fire station, it carries a long history of emergency response and public safety. Having an AED on site continues that legacy in a tangible and meaningful way.

As a former employee of our local ER, I have personally witnessed the life-saving impact of rapid response, especially when communities are equipped with the right tools before first responders arrive. Cardiac emergencies do not wait, and immediate access to an AED can mean the difference between life and death. This device empowers staff and community members to respond confidently in critical moments and provides peace of mind to parents, knowing that we are prepared to care for their children in an emergency.

Thank you for investing in the safety of our community, honoring this building’s history of service, and most importantly, helping us protect our youth.
