SAU1 is honored to have been chosen to present at the TASH Conference, held in Philadelphia on December 3, 4, and 5, 2026.

Powerless to Powerful: Igniting Self Advocacy!

We will share clear information on best practices to ensure people with disabilities are truly included, heard, and valued.
SAU1 has employees and board members all over PA. Can you help us get as many people to Philly as possible?

Your donation will help cover the costs of transportation and registration for SAU1 staff and volunteers with disabilities. Every dollar helps!

TechOWL Holiday Schedule: The Community Space will be closed Tuesday December 16th and December 22nd to January 2nd.

We will re-open on Monday January 5th.

The Assistive Technology Lending Library will not be processing requests or shipping items from December 23, 2025 through January 4, 2026.

However, we will accept returns, and schedule pickups or arrange extensions as needed.

Self Advocates United as 1 (SAU1) will be presenting: Let's Speak Up! Participants will talk about their rights, how to speak up for their rights, what they want and need, and how to form their own self-advocacy group.

Governor Josh Shapiro has proclaimed October 2025 as Down Syndrome Awareness Month in Pennsylvania! Down Syndrome is the most common genetic disorder in the world population. It is estimated that 38% of the population knows someone with Down Syndrome. With medical advancements, increased knowledge and awareness, and early intervention; individuals with Down Syndrome are living longer, more fulfilling lives. Celebrate someone you know with Down syndrome this month!
