Has a member of the Sanford Health Marshfield Clinic team made a difference in your life?

Now’s your chance to say thank you. Honor a doctor, nurse, coworker, staff member or volunteer who made you feel truly cared for. Your words of gratitude — paired with a gift of $10 or more — provide personalized recognition your honoree will treasure. 💙

Care is being celebrated across the Marshfield Region!

“A special thank you to Dr. Rall, Peter DeCandia, Amenia Folz, Ashley Hellpap, and everyone else who took care of me for my recent procedures. You were all amazing. The care I received was beyond the call of duty. Thank you so much. You made me feel so comfortable, and I knew I was in the best hands.” This is Dr. Rall’s 10th, Peter’s second, Amenia’s first, and Ashley’s fourth Shining Star!

Another Shining Star was presented honoring Dr. Rall with his 11th Shining Star and the GI team's first Shining Star! “My experience with Dr. Rall and his entire team was wonderful. From registration staff to prep nurses to procedure staff, everyone was so professional, friendly, and extremely caring. They helped me stay calm and put me at ease from the moment I walked in the door. Kudos to Dr. Rall and the entire team. You are fabulous.”

Meet Lennon. đź’›

At just 2 years old, she’s already showing us what courage and determination truly looks like.

A bilateral amputee, Lennon uses the Billion Pavilion at Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls to build strength and confidence through physical therapy. Her BFF, Henry the Caterpillar, is a highlight of every visit.

The Billion Pavilion — funded 100% by donor dollars — isn’t just a playground. It’s a vital therapy space helping kids like Lennon reach milestones that once felt impossible.

Congratulations to Rachel Garvey, nursing supervisor at Marshfield Medical Center! She is the recipient of the inaugural Excellence in Stroke Award. The award is specific to the Marshfield campus and was made possible by the generous support of Dr. Vivek Gonugunta and Dr. Vijaya Nirujogi.

Rachel was selected by a committee because she “strives to improve Marshfield Clinic’s stroke quality metrics through consistent diligence; identifying gaps and implementing practical tools that enhance compliance and efficiency. These efforts have contributed to measurable improvements of our stroke quality outcomes.”

Rachel received support to pursue:
- Certification as a Neurosciences Registered Nurse - covering brain tumors, trauma and neuromuscular disorders
- Stroke Certification - focusing on stroke anatomy, acute management and recovery
- Study materials for both certifications
