Stop the violence! Get help!
Domestic violence has often been framed as a "private family matter," but its impact reaches far beyond closed doors.
Intimate partner violence affects millions each year, impacts children, workplaces, schools, healthcare systems, courts, and entire communities. The CDC reports that over 41% of women and 26% of men in the U.S. experience contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetime.
Domestic violence is not just personal. It is a public health issue. A human rights issue. A systemic issue.
And prevention requires more than asking survivors to leave- it requires education, accountability, trauma-informed systems, and cultural change.
