Congratulations Gail DeJohn, who was recently nominated for the CASA Advocate4Kids Award. We are grateful for your service and proud to have you as part of the CASA Family. 💙

"Gail has provided exceptional contributions to CASA and the community for several years. She shows a great amount of dedication to the children and young adults that she serves. She makes a strong and long-lasting impact on youth. Her dedication and commitment alignment with the values of the CASA organization. Gail goes above and beyond to build bonds and connections with youth. Gail has consistent communication with the youth she serves. She encourages, supports, and advocates for every youth to help them develop into successful young adults. She has assisted youth with meeting their goals from getting a driver's license to helping them apply to college. Gail is an amazing CASA Advocate and is an asset to the CASA organization, community, and the youth that she serves. Gail has been a CASA volunteer for going on 6 years in November. She was a dedicated teacher for 44 years prior to becoming a CASA volunteer. Her dedication to our community has positively affected multiple lives in East Texas. She faithfully sees kids, mostly teens, that are placed out of region. She travels at her own expense to visit youth monthly, even when monthly face to face is not required at the distance they are located. She has helped secure private drivers' education courses for a youth that was struggling and overwhelmed with learning to drive. She was able to provide the youth with the confidence and skill to pass the youths driving test. It is her dedication and commitment that makes her excellent for the CASA Advocate award!"
