March is Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Month!

This month, the Rotary Club of Marshall celebrates the importance of clean water, safe sanitation, and good hygiene for healthy communities. Access to clean water transforms lives - and Rotary members around the world are taking action to make that a reality.

Learn more about how Rotary is helping to provide clean water and improve sanitation around the globe:️

When people have access to clean water and sanitation, waterborne diseases decrease, children stay healthier and attend school more regularly, and mothers can spend less time carrying water and more time helping their families.

The Rotary Club of Marshall is proud to share that our RYLA Coordinator, Keith Purvis, and his wife Pam recently took four Marshall ISD students to RYLA Camp - and the students had an absolutely fantastic experience!

Keith and Pam have been helping take Marshall ISD students to RYLA for many years, and their dedication to youth leadership and service is truly inspiring.

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) provides students with the opportunity to build leadership skills, confidence, teamwork, and lifelong friendships - and we are so grateful to Keith and Pam for continuing to make this experience possible year after year.

🌍💙 Rotary in Action in Guadalajara! 💙🌍

This week, PDG Ted Huffhines and his wife Angela are participating in a meaningful Rotary Service Trip in Guadalajara, Mexico, bringing hands-on service and support to communities in need.

The Rotary Club of Marshall is proud to have contributed $2,000 to help fund important construction projects during this trip. Ted is leading the Construction Team and Angela is leading the Vision Team.

The pictures being shared are from the first school they served, where the team accomplished an incredible amount of work, including:
✅ Texturing the interior walls
✅ Painting the exterior walls
✅ Sealing the roof
✅ Providing playground equipment
✅ Distributing water filters to families

In addition to the school projects, Rotary also hosted a medical clinic at a different location, providing much-needed care and services to the community.

We are so proud of Ted and Angela for their leadership and for representing Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self in such an impactful way.

The Rotary Club of Marshall, Texas had an outstanding meeting yesterday filled with purpose, partnership, and service. Our club proudly presented a donation to Wreaths Across America, supporting their mission to honor and remember our nation’s veterans.

We were also honored to welcome Madison Hood, fellow Rotarian and First District Attorney for Harrison County, Texas. She shared insightful information about her role in the District Attorney's Office and explained how her team collaborates with community partners to prosecute cases effectively and support public safety across the county.

In true Rotary spirit, our members demonstrated generosity once more by donating 244 bags of rice to Mission Marshall, helping support local families in need.

It was a remarkable day that reflected the heart of Rotary -service above self - and we are grateful for every member who contributed to making it special.
