Meet Adrianna Fisher, MA, CCC-SLP!

We asked how Adrianna became interested in working with people who stutter:

"I completed my graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh (H2P!) and Dr. Amanda Hampton Wray was the professor for my stuttering course. The course completely changed my perspective on the SLPs role in treatment of stuttering and sparked a passion for me to learn as much as I could about supporting people who stutter in a stutter-affirming way. Since I graduated in the spring of 2024, I have attended as many continuing education courses from leaders in the space as I possibly could. Our field is headed in a positive direction when it comes to affirming people for who they truly are, and I hope that I can be a part of making that change in the area of stuttering!"

"I have attended Intervision with Camp Say several times, which is a continuing education opportunity for SLPs to collaborate regarding various real-life stuttering case studies. Spero Stuttering and Adventure SLP have teamed up again to offer the 2026-2027 STuttering Enrichment, Advocacy, & Research (STEAR) Circle for Graduate Students. We accepted 32 students across 17 universities in 11 states!

We kicked off our meetings learning more about Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with children and parents. Thanks, Randy, for a great discussion!
