Our mission is to elevate pride events in the UP, to make connections between all of the UP-wide 2SLGBTQIA+ organizations, and to provide and share supportive resources to the community. Our organization consists of people of all backgrounds with one common goal: to bring PRIDE to the UP! We are passionate about providing safe spaces, offering resources, and connecting 2SLGBTQIA+ groups across the
Upper Peninsula. UP Rainbow Pride believes that everyone should be free to express their s*xuality and gender in a way that is healthy and affirming. Pride is having the freedom to embrace your identity while being able to overcome the obstacles faced on a daily basis. Pride is unconditional love: the belief that everyone should be free to explore and celebrate their identity regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, color, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, gender transition, genetic information, age, marital status, familial status, political belief, religion, citizenship, veteran or military status, medical condition, or mental or physical disability. Pride is about living and loving authentically, which everyone should be able to do fearlessly.
