YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

At the Community Foundation of Marquette County, we partner with donors to address community needs, enrich lives, and make meaningful, lasting impact throughout Marquette County.

Safe, accessible, and affordable housing is a critical component of a thriving community, and we have long supported efforts that address local housing needs, including funding initiatives such as the Marquette County Housing Specialist position.

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is in the middle of statewide public engagement for Michigan’s next housing plan, known as Statewide Housing Plan (SHP) 2.0, and they need your voice.

SHP 2.0 will be a collaborative blueprint that builds on the progress of the state’s first housing plan released in 2022. Public input will play a central role in developing the new plan and help inform goals and strategies for the years ahead.

All are encouraged to share experiences, concerns, and ideas about housing in Michigan. If you haven’t already, please complete the survey to make your voice heard. All Michiganders 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate.
