Friends of the Black Run Preserve

Friends of the Black Run Preserve Like us and become a part of the Friends of the Black Run Preserve!

The Friends of the Black Run Preserve is engaged in the following activities:

• Plan and organize stewardship activities
• Run public hikes and other recreational events
• Make recommendations to the Township on the management of the Preserve
• Coordinate management, stewardship and recreational activities with the Township
• Have a Memorandum of Agreement with the Township formalizing the Frien

ds’ and the Township’s respective roles in the Preserve
• Raise funds for stewardship of the Preserve through trails grants and other sources
• Help schools and teachers use the Preserve as an outdoor classroom
• Serve as a liaison with neighbors to address concerns as they arise
• Advocate for the acquisition and preservation of the remaining undeveloped land within the Black Run Watershed
