NEW JERSEY: THE VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS TOMORROW!

Our voices, our values, and our communities matter. The decisions made by elected officials shape our schools, healthcare, reproductive freedom, civil rights, affordable housing, environmental protections, and the future opportunities available to our children.

Local, state, and federal elections have real consequences. The people elected to office make decisions about funding, representation, access to resources, individual freedoms, and the protections our communities rely on. These decisions affect us whether or not we participate in the process.

At HTEI, we believe that building a more equitable and inclusive community requires civic engagement. Our democracy is stronger when every eligible voice has the opportunity to be heard.

If you’re 17 now and will turn 18 on or before Election Day, November 3, you can register now! You must be 18 by Election Day to vote in the general election. You do not have to wait until your birthday to register.

Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Your future matters.

Last night, we had the incredible opportunity to say thank you to 50 volunteers and community partners at the Philadelphia Eagles game. For many attendees last night was their first NFL game which made the celebration even more special!

We’re grateful for every individual who takes the opportunity to show up, serve, and be part of our work. Who continues to support HTEI, believe in our mission, and help us create a community where everyone feels seen, heard, respected, and celebrated.

We are a 100% volunteer based organization and your support makes the work possible. We don’t take it for granted. 💚

Feed the Need-Neighbor Edition

Today, our neighbors in Pitman need us.

Since first learning about neighbors losing SNAP benefits in November 2025, HTEI has invested more than $13,000 in the fight against food insecurity; work that would not be possible without the incredible generosity of partners like Jersey Kebab and of course, you, our community.

We know the urgency of trying to be a part of a local solution, helping those who need it most and proving how a little can go a long way. The Angels Community Outreach pantry recently announced that they were not going to be able to open their doors to serve the 45 families they’re expecting today today. We believe that together, we can help ensure that no one is turned away.

Every donation, grocery item, and act of kindness helps stock shelves and strengthen our community. Join us in making sure our neighbors in Pitman have access to the food and support they deserve.

Visit Angels Community Outreach to learn how you can help restock the pantry and support local families in need. Let’s continue to work together to support one another.

Last, but certainly not least…our volunteers. All 200+ of you 💛

There are simply not enough words to express our gratitude.

Days before the first parade marcher stepped off and long after the last tent came down, you were there. You planned, lifted, assembled, welcomed, directed and did whatever was needed with generosity, compassion and love.

You are the heartbeat of this event.

Thank you for sharing your time, your talents, your energy, and your hearts. HTPride is only possible because of people like you.

Education. Exposure. Outreach.

These principles are at the heart of how HTEI builds community and they came to life at HTPride Pride & Progress Community Night.

Hosted by the incredible team at The JFKLiving Team • NJ Realtors , the evening brought together more than 40 nonprofits, organizations, and community groups, creating opportunities to connect, learn, and discover the many resources that help our community thrive.

Because belonging grows through more than celebration. It grows through conversation, visibility, and showing up for one another.

Of course, there was plenty of joy, too; from Quizzo with the incomparable Iris Spectre/Dylan Kepp to a crowd favorite drag lip sync battle by Drag Queen Entertainment LLC . Together, they reminded us that learning, laughter, and community can all exist in the same space.

HTPride has never belonged to one person or one organization. It belongs to every volunteer, committee member, sponsor, municipal partner, business, performer, nonprofit, and neighbor who chose to show up.

One community. One shared drewmdream.

HTPride is a visible reminder that LGBTQIA+ people are seen, valued, celebrated, and belong here. That kind of belonging is only possible when a community chooses to build it together. This is what Full Circle looks like.

While Pride Month is closing, the circle is not.

A four hundred foot Pride flag brought our community together along Haddon Avenue. Volunteers reached for it and neighbors joined them. No single person could carry that flag alone, so all of us carried it together, all moving in the same direction at once. Nice work became good work. Good work became good trouble. That is what Full Circle looks like in real time.

Thank you for being part of our sixth annual event. This demonstration of unity and joy has the power to create positive change. It already has.
