Camp is right around the corner, and we still have 59 children and teens waiting to be sponsored!

For many of the youth we serve, this week is more than just camp. It is a chance to feel safe, celebrated, encouraged, and deeply loved.

We are believing for BIG things this summer.

Waymark Kids Camp and C4Y Summer Retreat are almost here, and 68 children and teens still need sponsors. But we know that God has always been faithful to provide, and we trust He will do it again.

Right now, every donation made through June 7 will be matched up to $5,000, doubling the impact of every gift.

When you give, you are helping create a week filled with encouragement, belonging, mentorship, fun, and the love of Christ for youth in foster care.

And for every child or teen sponsored ($800), we will send you their first name so you can join us in praying for them before they arrive at camp.

May is Foster Care Awareness Month, and one of the most powerful ways we can support children and families impacted by foster care is through prayer.

As you pray this month, and throughout the year, here are a few meaningful ways you can lift up those involved in foster and adoptive care:

• Pray for children and teens navigating uncertainty, loss, and transition
• Pray for foster and adoptive parents as they provide stability, patience, and love
• Pray for biological families working toward healing and restoration
• Pray for mentors, caseworkers, teachers, and caregivers supporting these youth daily
• Pray for healthy relationships, belonging, and lasting support systems
• Pray that every child would know they are valued, seen, and deeply loved by God
• Pray for hope, healing, and a brighter future for every young person in care

And as you pray, ask God to show you what your “yes” could look like.

Maybe it is mentoring. Maybe it is volunteering at camp. Maybe it is giving, encouraging a foster family, providing meals, or simply showing up consistently for someone who needs support.

Everyone may not be called to the same role, but everyone can do something.

Camp is almost here, and you can help make it possible!

Every dollar given goes directly toward creating life-changing moments and meaningful memories for the children and teens attending camp this summer. From activities and meals to mentorship, special events, and everyday moments of encouragement, your generosity helps create a week where youth feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

For many of the children we serve, camp is more than just a fun week away. It is a place where they experience belonging, build confidence, make lasting memories, and hear about the hope and love of Christ.

Because of faithful supporters like you, every child is able to attend completely free of charge!

A camper scholarship is $800 and we plan to take 95 campers! We still need to fund 76 scholarships. Any amount given towards scholarship funds is appreciated and impactful!

Our Camp Amazon Wishlist is still open, and there are several items left that will help make camp extra meaningful for the children attending this summer.

Many of these items will be used for special moments throughout the week, including our Star Wars Themed Birthday Party celebration, one of the most impactful events at camp.

For some of the children we serve, this may be the first time their birthday has been intentionally celebrated and surrounded by joy, encouragement, and happy memories. Moments like these remind children that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Every gift purchased helps create an unforgettable experience for a child at camp and supports the mission of keeping Waymark programs 100% free for the youth we serve.

Waymark Kids Camp & C4Y Summer Retreat are almost here!

Right now, our biggest need is for 8–10 more men to serve as Big Campers (counselors) so that every boy we have space for can attend camp! For many of the youth we serve, camp is more than just a fun week away. It may be their first experience with consistent encouragement, healthy male role models, and the freedom to simply be kids.

Big Campers are paired with two campers for the week and help create a safe, supportive, and joy-filled environment. You do not need to have all the answers, just a willingness to show up, listen, encourage, have fun, and point kids to Christ.

While our greatest need is for male counselors, there are still many other ways to serve and support camp this summer.

📅 Camp Dates: June 6–11
📍 Location: About 1 hour from Marietta (exact location given later for safety reasons)

Training Options (choose one):
• May 18 & 19 at North Metro Church | 5:30–9:00 PM
• May 31 at First Baptist Woodstock | 1:00–7:00 PM

We had an incredible day at our Annual Sporting Clays Tournament! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, volunteered, and helped make the event such a success. It was a great day of friendly competition, connection, and support for the youth we serve.

A special thank you to Garland Mountain Sporting Clays for hosting us, and to all of our generous sponsors whose contributions provided food, ammo, attendee gifts, raffle items, refreshments, and so much more throughout the day.

We also want to thank Edward, one of our Alumnus and Advisory Board members, for eloquently sharing his story. His words were powerful, inspiring, and a beautiful reminder of why this work matters so deeply.

Events like this make a real impact. Every dollar raised helps ensure that Waymark programs remain 100% free for the children, teens, and families we serve throughout the year.

May is National Foster Care Awareness Month 🩵

Across the United States, more than 391,000 children are in foster care. In Georgia alone, thousands of children and teens are navigating life outside of their biological homes, often facing uncertainty, transition, and loss.

This month is about more than awareness. It is about recognizing the real people behind the numbers and the community it takes to support them.

We are deeply grateful for foster parents, caregivers, caseworkers, and the many organizations who faithfully show up every day to care for these children. Your work matters more than words can express.

At Waymark, our heart is to come alongside these families and ministries to provide stability, connection, and ongoing support. Through mentoring, camps, and life-skills programming, we help ensure that no child walks this journey alone.
