Thursday Thoughts — Faithfulness Counts in the Waiting

Not every season is a season of arrival.

We often tell our staff that we don't think we ever really reach a place of arrival in life. There isn't some magical destination where we suddenly have everything figured out, where every question has been answered, or where the road ahead becomes perfectly clear.

Life is more like a long journey. Along the way, we pick up some really lovely things and some really difficult things. We experience unexpected turns, seasons of waiting, moments of growth, and opportunities we never saw coming.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, God is continually shaping us.

Psalm 27:14
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

Waiting doesn't mean nothing is happening. Sometimes the most meaningful growth happens in the seasons when we can't see what God is doing or where He's leading next. He can grow our trust while we wait for clarity, an answer, or the next opportunity. We may not be where we thought we'd be, but that doesn't mean we're standing still.

Thursday Thoughts — Hard conversations can be an act of love.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is have the conversation we'd rather avoid.

To speak up instead of letting resentment grow.
To ask instead of assume.
To listen instead of getting defensive.
To tell the truth without tearing someone down.
To pursue understanding instead of simply trying to be right.

These conversations aren't always comfortable. We won't always get the words right, and we can't control how someone else responds.

But we can choose to approach one another with humility, grace, and a genuine desire to see things made right.

Because love doesn't always avoid the hard things. Sometimes love is what gives us the courage to face them.

“Speaking the truth in love...” — Ephesians 4:15

Thursday Thoughts — God is still at work when nothing feels exciting.

Not every season comes with a big moment.
Some seasons feel a little bland. The days look the same, progress feels slow, and life settles into a rhythm that doesn't exactly feel adventurous.

But a quiet season doesn't mean God has gone quiet. And an ordinary season doesn't mean He's doing nothing. Our Father is still working in the routines, the waiting, the small acts of obedience, and the growth we may not even recognize yet.

Tame times don't reveal an inactive God.
They remind us of His consistency in every season.

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. — Philippians 1:6

THURSDAY THOUGHT — You don't have to be afraid of a question.

Faith isn't fragile.
Sometimes growing means asking the question you've been afraid to ask.
Sitting with the tension.
Wrestling with what you don't understand.
Searching for truth instead of settling for easy answers.
Questions don't always pull us away from God. Sometimes they lead us deeper into Him.

Mark 9:24 — “...I believe; help my unbelief!”

👉 Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions. Who is someone you can talk to when faith feels complicated?
