We're very excited to present a Beginner's guide to Jam Sessions!

This class is designed to give you confidence in jam sessions of all kinds. We’ll talk about what to expect at a jam, discuss common jam session etiquette, and learn a few easy jam-friendly tunes. Bring your instrument and - if it helps you learn - a recording device (cellphone) or a notebook and pencil.

Dates: Saturday May 2nd, 9th, 16th from 10-11am

Location: St. Louis String Collective; 3530 Greenwood Blvd

We will be filming each class and the videos will be made available to participants at the end of the session.

Their music can be heard in listening rooms, dance halls, festival and concert stages, and restaurants, and they are an active member of swing trio the Triplets of Grubville, swing quartet the Hot Club of St. Louis, multi-genre duo Cambia, old-time quartet The Short List, contra dance band duo Roger Wilco, folk quartet Run Down Boots and The New Soles, and various other projects.
