16 years ago I received the worst news of my life. My late father Kevin Joseph Zemianek, passed away to a sudden heart attack , aka “Congestive Heart Failure”, while at work on a night shift.
He was found by a Coworker and friend since he never returned from his 15 min break.
At the time, I was 20, shocked, confused, and suffered serious depression, regretful thoughts, and all of the feelings that many people may be going through right now throughout the Globe.
There’s absolutely nothing I can say that will take those feelings away, but I pray every morning, evening and here lately ...several times throughout the day for anyone and everyone that’s lost someone close to them in their life during this Pandemic.
However, with that said, I will say this from my own experience.
#1 - Don’t take one day of your life OR the life of the ones you care mostly about for granted. It’s easy to find or count all of the things that we lack, someone else lacks, or shield our gratitude with a negative lens, but be grateful for every day and know that someone else ALWAYS has it worse.
#2 It’s helped me through the years to “Celebrate” & Honor my Fathers life & time here...vs the constant “what if this” and “what if that”. (Hence the JZ passion & purpose) I know and believe that’s what he would’ve wanted, what I would want for my kids, and it makes both of our lives more meaningful.
#3 Faith. Regardless of your Religion, seek the strength of a High Power and there’s nothing you can’t overcome. .
