This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, breweries and wineries across Missouri are joining Pours for Pink, a statewide effort to support neighbors impacted by breast cancer! 🍺🍷

Throughout October, participating businesses are hosting Pours for Pink Nights featuring specially selected beers and wines. For every pour of a featured beverage, $1 will be donated to Gateway to Hope to help more people access breast cancer screenings and navigate a diagnosis.

A big thank you to the Father McGivney Catholic High School Lady Griffins, and the entire Glen Carbon community, for donating to Gateway to Hope through their Pink Out Night! 🏐💗 Your support makes a big difference in the lives of the women we serve.

🏐💗 PINK OUT FOR A PURPOSE! 💗🏐

The JV Griffins started the night on a high note with a 2-0 victory! Varsity battled back twice, but they fell 0-2 (25-18, 25-19). But the BIGGEST WIN of the night was much bigger than volleyball! 💗

Father McGivney hosted its annual Pink Out Volleyball Game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. In partnership with ProTees, our Lady Griffins raised $703.45 for Gateway to Hope! 🎀

Gateway to Hope helps remove barriers to breast healthcare by connecting patients with affordable screenings, personalized patient navigation, and financial assistance. They walk alongside individuals facing breast cancer, helping them access care and support when they need it most. 💗

A HUGE thank-you to ProTees, everyone who purchased Pink Out gear, and our McGivney community for supporting this important cause!

Tonight, our Griffins showed that we’re about more than the game. We’re about coming together, serving others, and making a difference! 💗

At 19 years old, Mackenzie never expected to find herself facing a breast health scare.

Breast cancer is common among the women in Mackenzie’s family, but growing up, she didn’t know much about her own breast health. Then, she discovered a lump in one of her breasts.

Because Mackenzie didn’t have health insurance, her first concern was how she would afford the care she needed. She visited Planned Parenthood for a breast exam, where she was told she would need additional imaging. That’s when she first heard about Gateway to Hope.

“I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford a screening on my own," Mackenzie says, "so I reached out."

One-in-eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That means every one of us will know someone affected.

October is a time for Breast Cancer Awareness.

It’s also a time for Breast Health Action.

When Angela was diagnosed with breast cancer, her first thought wasn’t about herself. It was about her daughter, Amoriah.

“I didn’t want to leave her,” Angela says. “I didn’t want her to grow up without me.”

A wife, mother, and social worker, Angela was accustomed to caring for others. Now, as she began navigating her own care, she found herself overwhelmed.

But when Angela connected with Gateway to Hope and her Patient Navigator, Faith, she immediately felt seen and understood.

“I was crying, and she just listened,” Angela says. “She didn’t just treat me like a patient. She treated me like a person. That really helped.”

Last week, the dome of the Missouri State Capitol shone pink to kick off !

Approximately 6,000 Missourians are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. At Gateway to Hope, we believe no woman should have to choose between putting food on the table and getting life-saving healthcare. We offer support across the breast health spectrum, including mammograms and support during breast cancer treatment.
