Watching a Legal Empowerment Fellow from our very first cohort talk so beautifully about this work and the need for it while leading a section of our focus group is honestly too difficult to put into words.
When we started Defying Legal Gravity, we believed that young people could learn the law, use it, teach it, and ultimately help reshape it. Sitting there and watching one of our own fellows facilitate a conversation about access to justice and legal empowerment felt like watching that vision come to life in real time.
