🌟 Independence & Choice 🌟

Last month, we celebrated the individuals who conquer it all and live life on their own terms.

From grocery shopping independently, ordering meals at restaurants, tending gardens, fishing, horseback riding, enjoying in-home s'mores, competing in Special Olympics, and cooling off with Rita's on hot summer days, every experience is an opportunity for growth, choice, and connection.

Whether getting their hands dirty in the garden or dressing up in a suit for a special occasion, attending ball games, exploring car shows, experiencing Connecti-Con, or simply making everyday decisions, these moments represent what true independence looks like.

At Journey Found, we strive to create opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to make choices, pursue their interests, build confidence, and participate fully in their communities. Because independence isn't measured by one achievement. It's found in the everyday moments that make life meaningful.

❄️🎁☀️ The Holidays in July came a little early at Journey Found!

We’re incredibly grateful to the Workers’ Compensation Trust for awarding Journey Found a Workplace Safety Grant, which made it possible to purchase electric shovels for our team.

This investment helps improve safety for our staff by reducing the physical strain of snow removal while ensuring our homes remain accessible for the individuals we support throughout the winter months.

Thank you for your commitment to workplace safety and for investing in organizations like ours. Your support helps us create a safer environment for both our employees and the people we serve.
