More than 50 new and refurbished bikes were given away this summer through collaborations with Manchester Leisure, Family & Recreation Dept., Elks Club of Manchester (helmets), MPD, FAFAA, Manchester's Recycling Coordinator/Transfer Station, bike part donations from Farr's, CTDOT micro grants (helmets) and lets not forget the amazing volunteers who help us do what we do!!!!

On Tuesday, August 4, we celebrated National Night Out with a block party at Mahoney Leisure Labs on Cedar Street.
Bike Walk Manchester (BWM) was proud to participate by hosting an information booth and co‑sponsoring a bike rodeo with CTDOT. We provided 20 community members with refurbished bicycles and helmets at no charge, thanks to the generosity of local donors.
Bike Walk Manchester extends heartfelt thanks to all community members who have contributed to this effort. We offer special appreciation to Farr’s Sporting Goods for their gracious donation of bicycle parts and and our volunteers who made it possible for us to prepare these bicycles for distribution.
To continue expanding access to safe, affordable, and environmentally friendly transportation in Manchester, Bike Walk Manchester is seeking ongoing support from individuals and organizations. We are looking for volunteers to help refurbish donated bicycles, as well as donations of parts, helmets, bike locks, and other supplies that allow us to get bikes road‑ready for residents who may not otherwise have access to them.
