Today we celebrate Juneteenth marking the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce the the freedom of the state's enslaved people.

While the offices are closed the park is opens at 9:30am and closes at sunset.

Schools out today! In a few weeks the first of our Children's Performance Series begins with magical performances of The Princesses in the Park!
From juggling, drumming, magic, curious creatures to illusions, there's entertainment for all ages to enjoy!
Thursday mornings at 11am under the Cabin's reception tent, excluding July 3.
Afterwards, visit the playground, the ?Sensory Garden and the Aviary. Make it a day!
$7 vehicle entry fee.
