📣 Rebuilding Together Manchester is sharing this volunteer opportunity on behalf of House of Heroes of Ct(HOHCT).
Help a Veteran! House of Heroes Connecticut (HOHCT) is seeking volunteers for Saturday, August 29, to help us provide no-cost home repairs for a 55-year-old female U.S. Navy Reserve Veteran who resides in Vernon. We will be repairing and staining a large deck and completing some additional repairs and yard cleanup. We are looking for 6-10 Weekend Warriors to help us help this Veteran in need!
House of Heroes Connecticut is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Veterans Service Organization that recognizes, honors and serves military and public safety Veterans and/or their surviving spouses in need through the provision of one-day, no-cost home repairs focused on safety and accessibility.
Since our 2012 founding we have assisted more than 300 Veterans, including Veterans in Manchester (5), East Hartford (10), Glastonbury (1), Windsor (1), East Windsor (1) and South Windsor (1). This will be our first Vernon Veteran served!

PROVIDED: All necessary tools/equipment, supervision/direction by professional staff, morning coffee/doughnuts, water, lunch, HOHCT t-shirt. Safety equipment available and safety protocols observed. All volunteers required to sign a waiver.
