NAACP Dane County Branch #36AB Chartered May 17, 2014, the NAACP Dane County Branch is committed to ensuring the political, educational, and social equality of rights for all people.

The NAACP, founded in 1909, is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. Throughout the country, thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans. The NAACP of Dane County branch will focus on the same things the organization focuses on nationally such as social justice, economic developm

ent and education. Interim chair, Gwen Jones, states, “It is not just a black issue....The needs of people cuts across colored lines.”
