Join Focus on Energy® and AIA Wisconsin for a webinar on "Making Energy-Efficient Choices During Design: An Interactive Live Analysis"

Identifying energy efficiency measures while balancing real-world constraints such as client budgets and time constraints poses challenges to any project team.

This interactive course demonstrates how energy efficiency goals—when addressed beginning early in design—can be successfully achieved, saving valuable resources. The session introduces how comparative analysis assists in achieving energy conservation goals alongside factors that drive energy use.

A case study building will be presented, including energy conservation strategies available for consideration. Participants will utilize live polling to assemble “bundles” of selected energy efficiency measures to play out what-if scenarios, discussing the merits and challenges of each bundle. Facilitators will run live energy modeling simulations to show the results of several bundles.

Bundled results will be revealed alongside energy savings trends, dispelling common misconceptions about the link between budget and energy savings. Performance of the built case study building will be reviewed, and participants will receive an energy analysis infographic (PDF) of takeaways from the session along with their CE certificate.

Join AIA Northeast Wisconsin members for a three-hour guided plant tour through Wausau Tile’s active manufacturing facility.

Join AIA Northeast Wisconsin for a guided tour of Wausau Tile’s 550,000-square-foot manufacturing campus in Rothschild, Wisconsin. Professionals will be taken on a tour of the manufacturing facilities, where they will learn the processes as well as the design aspects of manufacturing precast concrete and precast terrazzo products. Professionals will also learn the green practices in place throughout the campus.

Details:
• Safety glasses and safety vests will be provided by Wausau Tile.
• Closed-toe shoes are required; no open-toe shoes are permitted.
• Lunch is not included as part of the scheduled event.

Join the AIA Milwaukee Emerging Professionals committee for an ARE Study Session.

An AIA Wisconsin Emerging Professionals ARE Study Session at Lombardi Brewery in Milwaukee will bring together emerging professionals and ARE candidates for an evening focused on exam preparation, professional development, and networking.

The session will provide a relaxed environment for participants to review key ARE topics, share study strategies and resources, and discuss their experiences navigating the licensure process. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from peers at different stages of the exams while building connections with others pursuing licensure.

The goal is to establish a repeatable format for ARE study sessions and create opportunities for similar events throughout the year. By offering regular, accessible study sessions in different settings, AIA Wisconsin Emerging Professionals can provide ongoing support for one another while strengthening the local emerging professional community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Design Awards Gala! It was a wonderful evening celebrating design excellence, reconnecting with colleagues, and recognizing this year's outstanding award-winning projects. Congratulations again to all of the 2026 Design Award recipients, and thank you to our sponsors, jurors, volunteers, and attendees for making the event such a success.

The 2026 Design Award winner videos will be released on our YouTube channel in the coming weeks, and Gala photos will be shared soon. GLEAM is an annual outdoor art exhibit featuring large-scale light installations created by local, regional, and international designers. If you haven't been before, this is a must-see, family-friendly event in the Madison area! Weather permitting, join us at Olbrich Biergarten beforehand for free drinks and snacks!
