Last call for the 2024 Parent Alumni Banquet.

The below is subject to minor revisions, but last year’s event was a success so we’re planning on keeping the outline for the day’s events more or less the same.

12:00 PM Doors Open
12:30 PM Program Start
Buffett style luncheon with dessert
$50 per person

After the banquet, there will be an open house at the space known as the Crypt (315 West Washington Ave), so alumni and parents can see where the members conduct a variety of social, educational, and Chapter events.

If you’re in need of a hotel for the event the Fluno Center is still an option, but we don’t have a room block and prices have increased substantially since last year, so consider exploring other options.

To all of the brothers of the BSAA and Alpha Theta:

In light of COVID-19 and the measures being taken locally and nationwide, we have decided to cancel the spring Parent Alumni Banquet for 2020. While the landscape may look different in a month, we cannot predict what will happen and it is best to be a part of the solution to ending the spread of the corona virus. In addition, it is likely that measures taken by the university will not have the students around. If the situation has improved by Fall, we may have a banquet or similar event then to make up for this one.

Regarding initiation, we are currently working with the National Office and undergrads to figure out the most efficient way of initiating the new members without presenting risk. Please stay tuned as we continue forward.

Annual Meeting

Finally, regarding the annual meeting, the meeting will still be held virtually at 10 am on April 18th. Details will be forthcoming along with a presentation from me as we get closer to the date. If you are interested in voting during the meeting, please don't forget that you will need to be current on dues.

Mark your calendars! This years Parent Alumni Banquet is scheduled for April 18th. Tentative time and location is 5 pm at the Fluno Center. Our annual meeting will be taking place at 10 am beforehand at the Crypt. Remember to pay your dues, submit your nominations, and vote! Links are in the February newsletter.
