Cooperative Network Cooperative Network is committed to advocating for cooperative businesses.

Cooperative Network provides government relations, education, marketing, and technical services for a wide variety of cooperatives including farm supply, health, dairy marketing, consumer, financial, livestock marketing, telecommunications, electric, housing, insurance, worker-owned cooperatives, and more. Cooperative Network is governed by a board of directors made up of cooperative leaders from

across both states. Our members gather each year to determine Cooperative Network’s legislative and educational priorities, and membership committees meet throughout the year to develop and guide sector strategies.

Cooperative Network is currently seeking nominations until Friday, September 11, 2026 for three board of director seats to be elected at Cooperative Network’s annual meeting in December, 2026.

With the exception of Friend of Cooperatives (aka Associate) members, current staff and members of Cooperative Network members in good standing are eligible for nomination.

As representatives of cooperative members throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, Cooperative Network’s board of directors helps guide future activities and priorities of the organization.

Cooperative Network’s board of directors held their August board meeting on Monday at Land O’Lakes corporate headquarters in Arden Hills, Minn. In addition to the board meeting, the board and Cooperative Network staff participated in a tour of the facility including an on-site store, culinary center, fitness center, employee work area, and a meeting area where the group posed for a photo.

The second annual Minnesota Cooperative Summit was held July 28-29 in Duluth, Minn. at the College of St. Scholastica campus. Attendees heard from cooperative business leaders and supporters about the past and future of member-owned cooperatives and how the cooperative model supports businesses across almost all industries and business sectors. Along with educational sessions and guest speakers, the summit included tours of several co-ops in the Duluth area. (Cooperative Network photos)
