🌽 Harvest Fuels Tomorrow.
Across Wisconsin, harvest season is in full swing. Combines are moving through fields, grain carts are rolling, and months of hard work are finally making their way out of the field.
But harvesting the crop is only part of the job. Once corn leaves the field, managing its moisture is critical for safe storage and protecting its quality. That's where propane plays an important role for many Wisconsin farms—providing the dependable, portable energy needed to power grain dryers during one of the busiest times of the year.
💡 Did You Know?
Corn often needs to be dried after harvest before it can be safely stored. Removing excess moisture helps protect the grain from spoilage and preserves the quality of the crop farmers worked all season to produce.
From planting the first seed to storing the final bushel, we're proud to support the Wisconsin farmers who keep working long after the sun goes down. 🌽🚜

WPGA is making sure propane has a seat at the table when it comes to energy emergency preparedness.

Last week, WPGA Executive Director Cheryl Lytle participated in Purple Ice, a two-day Midwest Petroleum Exercise in Minneapolis. The event brought together energy industry representatives and state and federal officials to work through emergency scenarios and better understand how disruptions in transportation fuels can impact propane supply and distribution.

Exercises like this help strengthen communication, build important relationships, and improve coordination before an actual energy emergency occurs.

🛠️ Hands-On Training in Little Chute!

Service technicians recently gathered in Little Chute for two days of hands-on training led by Dave Ruckle of Ruckle Consulting.

Using Ruckle Consulting’s Propane Skills Training Trailer, participants were able to put their knowledge into practice while strengthening the safety skills they rely on every day in the field.

🤠 One last look at the 2026 WPGA Bobtail Roadeo!

We couldn’t wrap up this year’s Roadeo without sharing a few more of our favorite photos from the day.

More than a competition, the Bobtail Roadeo is an opportunity to celebrate the skill, professionalism and commitment to safety demonstrated every day by Wisconsin’s propane professionals.

To our contestants, volunteers, judges, supporters and everyone who helped behind the scenes—thank you for making this year’s event such a great one!

🌱 Small Bean. Big Role.
Across Wisconsin, soybean fields are turning golden—a sure sign that another harvest season has arrived.
It may be a small bean, but soybeans play a big role in agriculture. Wisconsin farmers spend months preparing, planting and caring for their crop before combines finally roll through the fields at harvest. And the work doesn't stop there.
Soybeans go on to become ingredients in animal feed, food products, biodiesel and countless everyday products. Propane also works behind the scenes during harvest season, providing dependable energy for crop drying, equipment, building heat and other farm operations.

Soybeans are incredibly versatile. Beyond food and livestock feed, soybean oil can be found in products ranging from biodiesel and tires to paints, adhesives and other biobased materials.
