Speaking of incredible, our team are overwhelmed and delighted by sheer number of vendor applicants and their creativity, voice and passion!

Communication is a sober, all-ages arts and music nonprofit based in Madison, Wisconsin. We're focused on breaking barriers for creative community to thrive. At MP&R this year we'll have a collection of zines, prints and stickers representing a selection of 80+ artists that are part of our shop. We promote a vibrant local printmaking culture by offering access to printmaking facilities and providing educational opportunities to the Madison community. MP&R Vendor highlights

Slides 1 -3 : Shy Electron
Hello, I am Shy Electron!! I make zines and tell stories about transformation and change, I use drawing, collage and photography. Across my different projects and love to set a really strong, specific mood within each one using color in my art and tone in my writing. Feel free to ask me if I am still shy when you see me at Madison Print and Resist this year.

Slide 4 : DoubleCross Press publishes handmade books of poetry and essays about making books by hand. We care about the relationship between form & content, and much of the writing we publish is by q***r/trans, feminist, and artist-activist writers.

Slides 5 - 7 :
Harpy House Press is a risograph press based in Chicago. It's a one-woman show run by Alexandra Montclair who writes, designs, prints and binds all works. HHP produces zines, books and prints in the realms of feminism, true crime, the paranormal and more!

Slides 8 - 10 : 2naTown is a full-time digital artist currently based in Fitchburg. She offers a variety of works-- stickers, prints, commissions, and even emote packs for platforms like Twitch and Discord. 2naTown's work is influenced by D&D, pretty women, and radical/motivating messaging.

Slides 1 -2 :
Rose Menyon Heflin is an award winning poet, writer, and visual artist who is passionate about nature and a host of social issues. Her interest in the environment is reflected in her visual art, and her poetry frequently addresses various political and/or social issues. An OCD sufferer since childhood, she strongly prefers hugging trees instead of people.

Ben Mehlos is a trans comic artist, writer and independent publisher from Wisconsin, who’s returned from splashy genre comics to raw q***r erotica, zines and riso art objects in midlife. He believes sexual expression is human, and q***r sexual expression is sociopolitically more crucial than ever.

My name is Chelsey, I am a q***r, nonbinary artist and zinester. Many of my original designs center on my q***r experiences or other aspects of my life in which I seek community. I offer a variety of products, such as stickers, prints, jewelry, and zines.

I am a college student finding my love for creating again. I love to make zines, especially if I get to use my school's scanner and printer for free (I have a passion for accessible art). A fun fact about me is that along with enjoying zines and self-published works, I am a big fan of reading traditionally published literature. I've read over 100 books in a single year before!

Wisdomcrumbs Press represents an collective of self published authors and zine makers sharing political commentary, personal narrative and amazing art. The inspirations for these works range from Madion, Ripon, Milwaukee Chicago, London, Oxford, Italy, England, South Korea, China, and America. Our work includes for biting satire, passionate expressions of desire, tales of heroism, cowardice, achievement and failure.

Vendor Highlights Madison Print & Resist Zinefest

Slides 1 - 3:
Kay Reynolds Design celebrates q***r and disabled pride, punk politics, and community care with colorful prints, buttons, stickers, and more. With a generous helping of humor and wholesome midwestern leftist values, Kay’s art spans an eclectic range of styles with an emphasis in risograph printing.

Slides 4 - 6: Caeli Carr-Potter
Hi! I'm a painter, musician and comix artist living in Madison. I have a background in printmaking, and love to create zines, CDS and other distributable/affordable materials. I'm a scorpio and I feel that comix are the strongest way I've found to express myself!

Slides 7 - 8: Moritz Junker
I, Moritz Junker, am I cartoonist from Madison now living in Milwaukee. Since 2021 I have been self-publishing alternative comics that feature surrealist stories, dark humor, and bizarre characters and scenarios. I am currently working on a new comic as part of the Dandelion Milwaukee comics residency which will come out sometime in May. A fun fact about me is that MP&R was the first zine fest I ever did!

I love experimenting with unusual book designs and materials. I hope that people walking up to my table will find something surprising that sparks their curiosity about how to make unique zines.

Slides 1 -3 : Wildflowers by Giselle
Hi! I’m Giselle, a painter, illustrator, and printmaker based in Madison, WI. My artwork is inspired by Mexican-American culture, race, and femininity. For me, sharing my stories and experiences as well as those of my community is the main goal of my artwork. I hope to be able to share those stories with you all at Madison’s Zinefest!

Ever since I was a little kid, I have always had a wild imagination, always inventing new and interesting worlds, characters, and stories every day. By becoming an artist, I am finally able to immortalize these worlds, characters, and stories for the world to see, and hopefully ignite the imaginations of future generations.

Emily here, I'm a scientific illustrator who loves watercolor, postcards, and comics. I mostly use digital media in my professional work, but often use traditional media when painting portrait commissions or nature-journaling. I’m expanding to make more prints of my work, as well as cards, stickers, and other twee trinkets.

Slide 7 : Lori DiPrete Brown aka Lemon Drop is a writer and translator and teacher who does arts-based journaling and occasional zines to understand life, laugh about it, cry about it as she is able, and find out what else might be there.

My name is Iassic or Moss and I am Classic DIY. I use they/them pronouns, I am a disabled autistic artist, and I love DIY culture. I use my zine making skills to talk about many different things including: my experience being autistic; LGBTQIA2S+ issues, q***r history, pronouns; activism; black history; what's going on in Palestine, Congo, Sudan. Among other things.
