Slides 1 -3 : Wildflowers by Giselle
Hi! I’m Giselle, a painter, illustrator, and printmaker based in Madison, WI. My artwork is inspired by Mexican-American culture, race, and femininity. For me, sharing my stories and experiences as well as those of my community is the main goal of my artwork. I hope to be able to share those stories with you all at Madison’s Zinefest!
Slides 4 -5 : Sam Rosenthal
Ever since I was a little kid, I have always had a wild imagination, always inventing new and interesting worlds, characters, and stories every day. By becoming an artist, I am finally able to immortalize these worlds, characters, and stories for the world to see, and hopefully ignite the imaginations of future generations.
Slide 6 : Emily Rosenthal Illustration ( tabling with sibling Sam)
Emily here, I'm a scientific illustrator who loves watercolor, postcards, and comics. I mostly use digital media in my professional work, but often use traditional media when painting portrait commissions or nature-journaling. I’m expanding to make more prints of my work, as well as cards, stickers, and other twee trinkets.
Slide 7 : Lori DiPrete Brown aka Lemon Drop is a writer and translator and teacher who does arts-based journaling and occasional zines to understand life, laugh about it, cry about it as she is able, and find out what else might be there.
Slides 8 - 10 : Classic DIY
My name is Iassic or Moss and I am Classic DIY. I use they/them pronouns, I am a disabled autistic artist, and I love DIY culture. I use my zine making skills to talk about many different things including: my experience being autistic; LGBTQIA2S+ issues, q***r history, pronouns; activism; black history; what's going on in Palestine, Congo, Sudan. Among other things.
