The to***co industry continues to modify both its tactics and products to attract young people. The range of ni****ne products available has expanded significantly in recent years to include ni****ne pouches and heated to***co products in addition to e-cigarettes.
To prevent and reduce to***co use, the Wisconsin Commercial To***co Prevention and Treatment Program’s work focuses on four major goals to counter the to***co industry’s influence: preventing the initiation of to***co use by youth and young adults, promoting and increasing the use of to***co treatment, eliminating exposure to secondhand smoke, and reducing to***co-related disparities.

For 25 years, International Overdose Awareness Day has brought people together to remember those we’ve lost and to take action to save lives.

The truth is, we shouldn’t still need this day. But we do.

Overdose continues to affect every community. Yet it can be prevented. We know how to reduce risk and keep people safe. By speaking openly, learning from one another, and treating each other with care and respect, we build a world where fewer lives are lost.
Because while this day is still needed, it doesn’t have to be forever.

Improving health does not always require major lifestyle changes. Small, consistent habits can make a meaningful difference over time. Aim for 20 to 30 minutes of movement most days, whether it is walking, stretching, dancing, or another activity you enjoy. Prioritize seven to nine hours of quality sleep whenever possible, stay hydrated throughout the day, and include a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables in your meals. It is equally important to make time for activities that support your emotional well-being, such as journaling, reading, practicing gratitude, or spending time with supportive friends and family. Taking care of yourself is an essential part of maintaining the energy and resilience needed to live a healthy, balanced life.
