As we continue to honor the life and legacy of our CEO & President, Michael Johnson, we remain committed to carrying forward the joy, opportunity, and sense of community he created for our youth.

Ten years ago, Michael started The All-White Party with a vision of bringing people together to create brighter futures for young people across our community. Over the years, it became more than an event, it became a reflection of his belief in what is possible when a community shows up for our youth.

With that in mind, The All-White Party will continue as planned.

As we celebrate 10 years of this event, we do so in honor of Michael and with a commitment to carrying his vision forward together.

We invite our community to join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Michael Johnson. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allied Family Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, 4619 Jenewein Road, Fitchburg WI 53711. Please note that parking at the Allied Family Center is limited. To help accommodate all guests, we encourage attendees to carpool or use rideshare services whenever possible.

“Life & Legacy Celebration” will take place on Friday, June 19th at High Point Church, 7702 Old Sauk Road, Madison, WI 53717, with a viewing beginning at 11:00 AM and the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Michael’s impact on our youth, families, staff and community will never be forgotten. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together to honor a life dedicated to serving others.

Tonight, we gather.

The sudden loss of our President & CEO, Michael Johnson, has reminded us how deeply this community loved him. Tonight, we invite you to come together with us to grieve, to remember, and to celebrate the extraordinary legacy of a man who gave everything for the kids and families of Dane County.

Please join us for a candlelight vigil tonight, Tuesday, June 9, from 7:30–8:30 p.m. CST in the McKenzie Regional Workforce Center parking lot (5215 Verona Road, Fitchburg, WI). Parking will be available in the Thermo Fisher Scientific lot next door. Bring your memories, bring your love, and let's hold one another up just as Michael always held us up.

Please note the McKenzie Regional Workforce Center will be closed to the public; we'll gather together outdoors.

The love you've shown for Michael Johnson has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. As his family grieves, we kindly ask that you give them privacy and space during this time.

We are deeply saddened to share the unexpected passing of our President and CEO Michael Johnson. Michael was an extraordinary leader whose passion, integrity, and commitment to the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County touched countless lives - especially the kids he devoted his career to serving.

Our thoughts are with Michael's family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We'll share more in the coming days, including ways to honor Michael's legacy.
