Safe Spaces When Youth Need Them Most

Briarpatch’s Youth Advocacy Services and Temporary Youth Shelter provide comprehensive support for youth ages 12–17 experiencing crisis or family conflict.

Through individual and family counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and access to a 24-hour helpline, youth receive the guidance and stability they need during difficult moments.

When shelter is needed, the Temporary Youth Shelter offers a safe place while staff work with youth and families to strengthen relationships and support safe reunification whenever possible.

Through personalized support, young people build healthy coping strategies, improve decision-making skills, and move toward long-term stability.

2025 Program Highlights

• 33 Youth utilized shelter
• 96% of Youth Returned home or to a safe alternative
• 917 Help-Line calls were answered
• 722 Nights of shelter were provided

​Our monthly community raffle is back this June, and we are proud to align this month's event with our Pride Month celebrations here at Northside Lounge.

​Come through, grab a drink, buy your paddle to win cheese, and let’s make a real impact for local youth.

​Cost: $2 a paddle, 6 Rounds

2025 Impact: Supporting Youth Across Dane County

Every year, Briarpatch Youth Services works alongside young people and families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments—crisis, housing instability, mental health challenges, and involvement in the justice system.

Through programs rooted in compassion, accountability, and opportunity, Briarpatch helps youth build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward stability.
