Did you know there are excellent educational benefits options for veterans in Wisconsin? The Wisconsin GI Bill provides full tuition and segregated fee remission for eligible veterans and their dependents for up to eight semesters or 128 credits, whichever is greater, at any University of Wisconsin System or Wisconsin Technical College System school. *This is a state-funded program and is separate from the federal GI Bill®.

Let’s Go Hiking: Hike #5!

Our Women Veterans Explore Wisconsin fall hiking series continues this Wednesday with Strength in the Journey!

When: Wednesday, October 14
Time: 10:00 AM
Where: Kettle Moraine Southern Unit – McMiller Ski Trail

Five hikes in, and there’s still plenty of trail ahead! Whether you’ve joined us every week, made it to one or two, or haven’t joined us yet, this is your invitation.

Grab you hiking shoes and join fellow Wisconsin women veterans for a morning of conversations and connection.

HOW TO FIND US:
When you arrive, look for the vehicle with the Women Veterans – Let’s Go Hiking! sign and purple balloons. Plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can gather before hitting the trail together.

Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes
Bring water
Dress for the weather
Family-friendly, so bring the kiddos!
All hiking experience levels are welcome!

Registration is not required but appreciated. And remember, you don’t have to participate in all eight hikes. Join us for one, a few, or all eight!

After a year away, the Wisconsin Women Veterans Retreat is returning in 2027, and we are very excited to welcome you back!

When: June 11-12, 2027
Where: Trinity Equestrian Center, Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Get ready for two days of connection, laughter, activities, meaningful conversations, and time spent with fellow Wisconsin women veterans.

Whether you've attended in the past or this will be your very first retreat, you won't be the only one experiencing it for the first time. This will be my first Wisconsin Women Veterans Retreat too, and I'm excited to experience it right alongside all of you! 🫶

Planning to stay overnight? Reserve your room early!
• A room block has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express in Eau Claire.
