Today, we are celebrating Women's Equality Day! 🥳 On August 26, 1920, the 19th amendment was signed into law, finally giving women the right to vote 🗳 after decades of political organization and pressure. The Women's Suffrage Movement was the just beginning of a strong, nationwide force fighting for equality--one that we are still seeing grow 💪 to this day. We honor the generations of women who put themselves on the line by standing up to opposition and making sacrifices to ensure the voices of women in the future would be heard.💜
