The Green County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a summer hunter safety course for 2026. Our goal in providing this instruction is to reduce the potential for accidents, injuries and fatalities. ATTENTION 🚨🚨🚨

Today, a dear friend of ours has a very special birthday. Since 1776 she’s been a pillar of freedom and a beacon of hope across the World. You can be reminded of her greatness when you catch a glimpse of ol’ glory flying, or an Eagle soaring over her Great Plains.

Thank you America for 250 years, and God Bless the USA!🇺🇸

Today we celebrate those that live by the values of duty, respect and integrity. On National Wildland Firefighter Day, we would like to show our appreciation for the wildland fighting community.

Thanks to the line firefighters, dispatchers, map creators, IT specialists, equipment operators, radio technicians, pilots, prevention specialists and everyone else who plays a critical role in the services they provide to protect life, property and natural resources from the damages of wildfires.

While Wisconsin’s current fire danger is currently low statewide, efforts are shifting to provide mutual assistance to our partner organizations in the western U.S. as things are starting to heat up. Be safe and thank you for your ongoing dedication!
