Linda Patton gained her wings earlier today! After a very long battle with frontal lobe dementia and pain from the effects of it, she went peacefully! Billy was by her side from the very beginning and was her primary caregiver. The love he showed for Linda was evident in his care!

Please be praying for Billy, Deneen, Anthony and the family as they start this new journey. Also for clarity of mind as they make arrangements and decisions!

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Definitely worth the read!!!

“Let’s clear up a few things about hospice, because some of y’all are out here acting like they’re the Grim Reaper in scrubs.
1. Morphine didn’t kill grandma. Cancer did. Or maybe heart failure. Or dementia. Morphine helped her not suffer. It eased her breathing, calmed her anxiety, and let her pass peacefully. That’s mercy—not murder.

2. Hospice isn’t just for the “final days.” there have been patients on service for over a year. It’s not a 48-hour countdown. It’s support. For the patient and the family. You don’t have to wait until someone’s circling the drain to get help.

3. We don’t just throw meds at people like Halloween candy. Every prescription—yes, even that Ativan or morphine—is ordered by a doctor. We assess symptoms, advocate for comfort, and work as a team. We’re not drug dealers. We’re clinicians.

4. Choosing hospice isn’t “giving up.” It’s choosing how you want to live with the time you have left. And that’s one of the bravest, most human decisions there is.

5. Hospice doesn’t mean “no care.” It means a different kind of care. No more chasing cures that make people miserable. Instead: dignity, comfort, honesty, and presence.

6. Not eating or drinking at the end of life isn’t “starving to death.” It’s the body’s natural way of shutting down. Forcing food or fluids can actually cause more pain—nausea, aspiration, swelling. We’re not denying care—we’re following the body’s lead.

So the next time you hear someone whisper “they’re going on hospice” like it’s a death sentence—correct them. Hospice isn’t about dying. It’s about living well until death.”

Marshal is becoming less active and not able to get up any longer. Let’s be praying for Marshal’s journey to be peaceful to the end. Sherri needs our prayers also. She has been by his side through the cancer and is probably exhausted.
The thing that stands out to me the most is how kind the Grays are. Join me is storming the heavens for them!

My apologies for not updating on Linda Patton in some time!

I spoke with her husband, Billy, today and he told me they were in another transition phase of her dementia. It appears to be very close to the end for this Christian sister and friend. Please be lifting Linda up in prayer for comfort and no pain. Also, for Billy, Deneen, Anthony and all the family, let’s pray for peace that passes understanding, calmness in their hearts and a heavenly hedge of protection around them!

Jesus said, in Matthew 11, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Test Results for Lonnie:

The best possible news except for no cancer! All praise to God for this blessing!!
The prostate cancer is low-grade and treatment would have more negative side effects than value. PSA is back down and will be tested every 3 months. Another MRI in a year unless otherwise indicated. All good news! Thank you so much for your prayers!

Results just came in..... She is all clear. Grateful for the fast results. Thank you Jesus, PTL.

From Tiffany:

Brynn's MRI is in the morning. We have to be there at 7:30am. Please pray for her. They will not sedate her this time, which is nice. Hopefully we will be out by noon. I'll update in a couple days when we get results.

Just to save lots of call and explanation, I wanted to let all of you know that they confirmed, today, that I have prostate cancer. We will know more after a visit with the urologist this coming Wednesday. For now I have decided to have the mindset that this is my thorn in the flesh and that God’s grace is sufficient for me!

Now that that’s out of the way, how beautiful is this lady in the picture with me?! ❤️
