We’re so excited to announce the kick-off of our Firehouse Flicks summer film series, a Flatland Film Program!🤩🎬

Our marketing coordinator, Olivia, recently visited the in Santa Fe, New Mexico and was able to access 2 free tickets to the Georgia O’Keefe Museum with her LHUCA membership card! 🤩🖼️

The “North American Reciprocal” sticker on the top right of our membership cards (sustainer level + above) grants access to our members to receive reciprocal membership benefits across the United States, Bermuda, Canada, the Cayman Islands, and Puerto Rico!

Not only does this gold sticker grant access to ticket discounts (or free tickets like shown in the photo👀) to art museums, but also to art galleries, historical museums and societies, botanical gardens, children’s museums, zoos, and more! A little late hopping onto this trend, but we truly love seeing our exhibits full of our Lubbock community! 🫶

At the beginning of May installed Fluxums’ Frolic and transported Martin McDonald Hall into an intergalactic adventure! 🪐

It was a joy to see everyone enjoy the exhibit as much as we did. 🤭

Fluxums’ Frolic will be up until the end of June! We hope to see you all again next Friday for 🫶✨

We’re thrilled to announce our Teen Theatre Camp Intensive with a production of Beetlejuice Jr.! 🪲

Summertime fun at LHUCA Creative Camps is getting even more exciting! Ages 13-17 are welcome for this 2-week theatrical event. They will receive training in singing, acting, improvisation and movement from our experienced instructors. This camp is designed for beginners to advanced level performers, this intensive offers a fast-paced musical theatre experience in a fun and safe learning environment!

Camp Activities Include:
🎭Live Auditions
🎥Watch Party of Beetlejuice movie in Firehouse Theatre
🎤Daily Rehearsals
✨Firehouse Theatre Tour
🪲2 performances of Beetlejuice Jr.

Camp dates & time details:
📆July 6-10 and July 13-18
⏰8:30am-4:30pm with lunch from 12-1pm.

The LHUCA galleries were full with four of the five exhibiting artist last month! We’re always so excited when our artists get to experience a First Friday Art Trail and when you get to meet them. 🫶

Leaving our galleries at the end of the month is Terry Browder and Diana Cheren Nygren, but Eden Amber Imrie and Eric and Morgan Grasham are with us until the end of June.

Come by our galleries and experience these exhibitions before they go! We are open Tuesday-Friday from 11am - 5pm and Saturdays from 12pm - 5pm! ✨
