Recently, we hosted the University Foundation Financial Officers (UFFO) conference bringing together CFOs, controllers, and financial professionals from more than 25 higher education-related foundations from across the nation.

We enjoyed showing off all that the Texas Tech University System has to offer!

Leaders at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo campus accepted a $1 million philanthropic gift from Children’s Miracle Network of Amarillo and the High Plains Region (CMN Amarillo) on Tuesday marking a transformational investment in pediatric care for the Texas Panhandle.

The gift will support the TTUHSC Pediatric Fund for Excellence; a $10 million fundraising initiative designed to close critical gaps in pediatric specialty care and strengthen services provided by Texas Tech Physicians Pediatrics in Amarillo. The investment will allow TTUHSC to respond to the evolving healthcare needs of children and families across the region for years to come.

Texas Tech Foundation board member Barry Street, and his wife, SuDe, are just one example of donors who align their giving with their passion. Great things happening at the Texas Tech Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources!

“We are the best school even with the facilities that we have. But your impression is what you see when you get there. It’s the front porch.”

Barry and SuDe Street, both Class of '79, made the first gift to the new Davis College Flagship Building. One of Texas Tech's founding colleges is still working out of some of its oldest buildings, with enrollment climbing toward 3,500, and the Streets want students, faculty and alumni to walk into a college that matches the work already happening there.
