We were honored to welcome McKesson and Genentech, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, to Hope Lodge Lubbock last Thursday as part of the Access to Cancer Care Conversation Series.

This meaningful panel discussion brought together leaders and advocates committed to improving access to care for cancer patients and their families. A special thank you to Dr. Mohamad Al-Rahawan, MD, MPH, Mona Escalon and Bethany Brown for sharing their expertise and insights on how communities can collaborate to better support those impacted by cancer.

Conversations like these are an important step toward creating stronger, more connected systems of care—and we are grateful to be part of that work. 💙

At Hope Lodge Lubbock, we see every day how community and compassion make the hardest journeys a little lighter.

When Dale Minner was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022, his world was turned upside down. Facing daily radiation treatments far from home, he wondered how he would make it.

“Without Hope Lodge, I would not have been able to receive my treatment. Hope Lodge was a blessing on earth. You can feel the love from the staff, the patients, and the caregivers. They go the extra mile for you.” ~Dale, cancer survivor.

Today, Dale and his wife Laura return every few months for his bloodwork, and they bring joy to the Lodge by cooking barbeque meals for fellow guests. Laura says, “We make ribs, links, and potato salad. Everyone is so nice.”

For Dale, Hope Lodge is more than a place to stay—it’s a family. He is deeply grateful to the donors who make this home away from home possible: “It’s one big family and you can feel the love.”

Hope Lodge is a lifeline for families like Dale’s, offering comfort and care during cancer treatment. Your donation keeps this home away from home possible—please give today: https://bit.ly/3JMoGMy
