As Kentucky Opera returns to the historic Brown Theatre, your gift helps bring the magic to life. From costumes and lighting to the artists and crew who make every performance possible.

✨ $10,000 sponsors costume design and construction
💡 $2,500 sponsors lighting design for The Barber of Seville

Rehearsals for "Before Freedom Rang" are in full swing! Join us this Friday, June 19th at 7:00pm for "Before Freedom Rang: A Juneteenth Story of Kentucky's Emancipation Truth" by Dr. Paula McCraney.

This moving performance honors Kentucky's historical journey from slavery to freedom. Through storytelling, we are able to celebrate the resilience, courage, and contributions of Black Kentuckians.

We hope you'll join us to commemorate Juneteenth at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts in the Bomhard Theater this Friday! Admission is free after a completed registration.

Kentucky Opera is proud to partner with the Louisville Metro Juneteenth Jubilee Commission to present "Before Freedom Rang: A Juneteenth Story of Kentucky’s Emancipation Truth" by Dr. Paula McRaney.
