At the next Region on the Rise presented by PNC, we’re bringing the national automotive conversation to Louisville.

Hear from Michael Robinet, Vice President of Forecast Strategy at Mobility Global, as he examines the forces reshaping the industry and what executives should expect in the years ahead.

Robinet will be joined by Tony Reinhart, Director of State and Local Governmental Affairs at Ford Motor Company, for a conversation connecting those national trends directly to Louisville and Kentucky.

Together, they’ll explore the questions that matter for our region: Where is the automotive industry headed? What will drive future investment and growth? And what does Louisville need to do now to remain competitive?

Be part of the conversation. Register today: https://members.onelouisville.org/eventcalendar/Details/region-on-the-rise-presented-by-pnc-1909017?sourceTypeId=Hub

Kentucky continues to prove it has what it takes to compete and win for business investment.

In Area Development’s Annual Top States for Doing Business report, Kentucky ranked #13 overall in the nation, based on feedback from 50 site-selection consultants on 20 factors that influence where companies invest, expand, and create jobs.

The Commonwealth earned particularly strong marks for:

#4 – Labor Cost Competitiveness
#6 – Energy Costs
#8 – Regulatory Environment
#9 – Energy Availability & Grid Capacity
#10 – Overall Cost of Doing Business
#10 – Permitting & Development Predictability
#10 – Site Readiness Programs

Kentucky also ranked among the nation’s leaders for cooperative and responsive state and local government, availability of industrial sites and buildings, workforce training programs, industry cluster strength and speed-to-market.

At One Louisville, we’re proud to build on these strengths and continue positioning the Louisville region and Kentucky as a premier destination for business investment and economic growth.

Congratulations to Midea on the ribbon-cutting of its newly expanded U.S. research and development facility at Blankenbaker Station.

The $36 million investment more than quadruples Midea’s Louisville footprint, from 30,000 to 127,000 square feet, and is expected to create 110 new jobs in the coming years. The expanded facility also adds 22 new product labs and advanced testing, consumer insight, and training spaces that will support innovation right here in our region.

We’re proud to celebrate companies like Midea that continue to invest, innovate, and create opportunities in Louisville.

We’re proud to celebrate our Communications Intern, Rian Fann, who had the opportunity to represent the UofL College of Business MBA program during a student panel for the College’s Board of Directors earlier this week!

Rian shared his experience in the MBA program so far, what led him to choose UofL for his graduate degree, and how his internship with One Louisville helped play a role in that decision.

We’re thrilled to have Rian as part of our team and proud to see him representing both One Louisville and UofL College of Business!
