Check out the updates to the Zen Room 🧘‍♀️

Member feedback from the annual M.A.Y.B.E. event in Oct asked for more gathering spaces and nooks. The Zen Room, the Office, and the picnic table now provide 3 more initimate spots to connect, work, play… or just chill.

Enjoy!!!

Hi Friends, We have a beautiful piece of news to share with you...

A former Butchertown resident — someone who loves MaybeItsFate and believes deeply in what this community is becoming — has offered a generous gift: this anonymous person will cover the $97 initiation fee for the next 20 people who join MaybeItsFate as Sustainers.

It’s a simple, powerful gesture. A way of saying come in.

For those who have been feeling the pull toward MaybeItsFate — toward shared meals, late-night conversations, creative sparks, music in the air, and the slow weaving of community — this is an open door made a little wider (and the door is open, quite literally, on Sunday at the Open House... details below).

Sustainers are the financial backbone of the cooperative. Their membership supports the care of the space and the unfolding of programming, and affords the co-op to purse a major increase in ownership of the property.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to join, this may be it. This offer only lasts until the end of the month or until 20 new members join.

If you know someone who has been Maybe-curious, please feel free to share this with them. Gifts like this don’t just remove cost — they send a signal about what kind of place this is: one where people lift one another into belonging.

With gratitude (and a little awe),

Charley & Rebecca

“Papercuts: Overlapping Perspectives” will run at MaybeItsFate from January 9th, 2025 to March 28th
Please join us in welcoming four Nashville based artists, Lanie Gannon, Emily Holt, Ashley Mintz and Delia Seigenthaler at the opening reception, Saturday January 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 at the MaybeItsFate Gallery, 1425 Story Ave, Louisville, Kentucky.

“Whether they are collecting ephemera from flea markets, yard sales or off the streets as they walk, these artists are tuned in to the potential stories these scraps, images and textures can tell. The narratives of these works range from figurative to atmospheric. Some stories are open-ended, while others are more direct. Each artist has developed their own language through their use of paper and the methods they use to manipulate the material to give it meaning.
Paper can be both a humble material and exquisite work of art on its own. It is both fragile and pliable. It can be used as a surface for writing, drawing, printing, etc. and can also be crumbled, folded or cast into three dimensional forms. Paper Cuts explores the versatile nature and beauty of paper itself.”
