Everyone deserves comfort, dignity, and compassionate care at the end of life. Yet disparities in access to care persist, with income and race too often shaping who receives hospice services and support.

At Hildegard House, we work to help close that gap by providing a home and compassionate care at no cost to people who qualify for hospice but lack a safe place to live or someone to care for them.

We care for each resident as we would our own family, with home-cooked meals, a hand to hold, and the comfort of knowing they are valued and loved.

Because everyone deserves to be cared for. And no one should die alone. 💚

MEET THE BOARD: Larry B. Grossman, Board President.

"Many people don't realize that individuals at the end of life may be incapable to receive hospice care if they don't have a permanent place to live and someone available to care for them. Hildegard House provides both, a home and a caring community, so that people who might otherwise face the end of life alone can receive hospice services, comfort and the dignity they deserve." Larry Grossman

Today we are delighted to introduce Larry Grossman, President of the Hildegard House Board of Directors.

Larry's path to Hildegard House began while volunteering at another nonprofit. A board member who was completing his term mentioned that Hildegard House did not have a board member representing the Jewish faith and was looking for someone who might be a good fit. After learning more about our mission and the people we serve, Larry was interested.

Less than a year after joining, Larry was surprised when he was asked to serve as Board President.

With a long history of nonprofit involvement and a deep connection to the mission of Hildegard Hose, he said yes!

Outside of Hildegard House, Larry says his favorite joy is his family: his two sons, their wonderful wives, and his four happy and healthy grandchildren.

Thank you, Larry. We are grateful that you were led to Hildegard House!
