OUR KNL STORY… ✨
Our name, “Kayamanan” was inspired by the word treasure, a reminder that our culture, traditions, stories, etc., are precious gifts to be cherished.

“Ng Lahi” was inspired by a dear Tita who lived a long and beautiful life as a servant of God. She told her pamangkin:
“You must add ‘Ng Lahi’...that which is truly the knowledge you seek and must share.”

Because, indeed, the mana (treasure) shared with us is meant to be shared, with honor and love. Today, we remain in awe and pride as we delve deeper into our original written and oral languages and traditions, listen closely to our elders, and be guided by our cultural legacy.

We are...Kayamanan Ng Lahi which means treasures of our people. We do what we do, now in our 36th year, with love, gratitude, and deep respect for those who came before us—and those who will carry it forward. ❤️ Sulong!

T'BOLI CULTURAL WORKSHOP coming to us from Lake Sebu and specially presented by cultural bearer, artist, chef, Lyn Buti of Gonoyebong

In T’boli, gonoyebong is a combination of two words meaning “aunt’s home” representing the cultural center that Lyn Buti, master T’boli artist, has built for the arts in Lake Sebu, Philippines. Come along to see, hear and learn about T’boli culture through the voice of Lyn Buti, as she shares her craft of dance and music.

Event is cohosted by Malaya Filipino American Dance Arts and Kayamanan Ng Lahi.

Gonoyebong of Lyn Buti is funded in part by Laarni Torres Gusto and United Airlines in collaboration with Parangal Dance Company.

Lake Sebu is a cool-weather upland municipality in the province of South Cotabato, Mindanao, Philippines, famous for its natural lakes and indigenous T'boli culture.

Come along to see, hear and learn about T'boli culture through the voice of Lynn Buti, as she shares her craft of dance and music.

Our school assembly program is produced through The Music Center and offers artists the opportunity to perform, connect, and make a meaningful impact through the arts.

Home is where the heart is, and FPAC has always been home for us since its inception. We are honored and excited to be invited back once again.
Catch us at the Ancestral Pavilion all day, Main Stage around 4:00, and Discovery Stage around 4:30.
Times are, of course, subject to change, so the best plan is to just hang out and enjoy the entire day with everyone in the balangay. Tayo na!!!

First of two free classes to try out Filipino cultural dance with KNL! We taught Gugma O Kalipay, an original folksy Kuratsa-style dance in 3/4 time with original music, original choreography, and danced with a lot of love, happiness... and fun!

Join us for the second free class next Sunday as we teach a fun dance for the holidays.

This Saturday!! is bringing back Eskwela Kultura programming, but this time at the City of Carson's Philippine Independence Day celebration happening Saturday, June 6th from 11AM-6PM! 🇵🇭

Miss Melissa of will be teaching the Sua-Ku-Sua, a dance originating from the Tausug people of Jolo, Sulu. It honors the pomelo tree, comparing its slender branches, leaves, and fruits to the beauty and virtues of a beloved. Dancers use two fans to mimic swaying leaves. Come pick pomelos with us through dance at 400pm!
